Request A Commission

The Process

After you request a commission, we go over what you want. Depending on the commissions, i.e. a pet commission, I will ask for a detailed description of your pet's personality and various pictures of different angles to capture the whole body, markings, etc. Make sure you've checked about the section that talks a little about commissions so you have a decent understanding if you're not familiar with art commissions.

  1. Once everything is finalized, I'll send a contract for you to sign - this helps protect me and you.
  2. I require a certain percentage of the payment before I start any art commission.
  3. I'll work on a rough draft (sketch) and send it to you for approval. Here is where you'll be able to request any changes or additions. The first 2 edits are free, additional will be $10 each.
  4. I will keep in contact with you throughout the process, including letting you know how many people are ahead of you as I go through each. I am in consistent contact with you once I am working on your commission.
  5. Once you approve and are happy with it, I will require the rest of the payment in order for me to move forward and finish it.
  6. Failure to pay will get you the sketch because you paid for it, but I will not move forward. You will have one more chance for a request and if you fail to pay that one as well, I will put you on a block list so I don't work with you again.

The reason I require payment before finishing and not after is for this reason. It's not fair for me to put in all that work just for the client to refuse payment. I don't like wasting my time, and it's taking away time I could be spending on other commission requests from people who plan to pay.

If you're still interested in an art commission, check if they're open and request a commission :)
