Meet Fem

I'm Cassie, aka Fem in the art world. I'm married to my best friend, have two entertaining mini-me's and 3 fur gremlins. I'm a country girl at heart, so I'm happiest out in nature away from the city life, and I have a very dear fondness for pasta. Art has been one of my biggest passions for the majority of my life. It's the way I express myself freely, and it's also relaxing for me to get away from adulting for a while. I'm a big goofball and often get people laughing. I'm pretty dapper.

Hobbies

I do have other hobbies aside from art such as coding, bookkeeping, dog training, and photography. I also take joy in learning Korean and Portuguese.

Then

I've been drawing since I was very young. I did a lot of art drawings in the form of sketching growing up going through too many sketchbooks, pencils, erasers.. I also worked with ink a bit, copic markers and prismacolor pencils. I did a lot of drawing by looking at pictures, so a lot of fan art, sometimes my own characters, little comics of my friends, etc.

Now

I started fiddling with digital art in 2007 with Photoshop and a wacom tablet and have been a digital artist since. I'm primarily self-taught with art in general, but from 2021 to now I've been primarily using Procreate and I'm always trying to improve my skills and knowledge. I'll still use references, practice with little sketches, take courses, tutorials, etc.
